Diversity – Being able to to create so many different looks and styles depending on your mood or vibe for a particular day or night. Whether it is a bright lip for a summers day or deep, dark vampy vibes for a night out.
Hiding my pores – Even though I have a relatively good skin care regime I am still plagued with huuuuge pores! Using a silicone based primer and then either NARS Radiant Longwear or YSL All Hours foundation over it creates a flawless, luminous finish – pores BE GONE!
How you can brighten up your day by brightening up your face – If I am having a down day where I am not feeling the greatest about myself I can create a face that is ready to face the world, and it really does lift my mood and help me prepare for whatever I am taking on.
GLITTER – I am a total magpie! When I am going full glam for a big night out I love having a full glitter lid or spotlight over a deep smoky eye. Current favourite glitters are by Blush Sparkle.
Shopping for make up – Trying and buying new pieces, old favourites and kit must haves! I used to be terrified of the ladies on make up counters; I think over time my confidence has grown and I am now relatively comfortable approaching counters and asking questions. Maybe I just learned to appreciate that, at the end of the day, sales counter assistants are there to inform you about products and make recommendations.
My clients – As a make up artist I genuinely love when a new client comes to get their make up done by me for the first time and when regular clients return. I still get feel the odd flutter of butterflies and wonder…can I do this? Then as soon as I get started and into my flow I feel at ease and know it is exactly what I should be doing. I would not be able to do what I do and share my passion without my amazing clients.
